Instagram, Not Just a Pretty Face
Earlier this year Instagram announced that search engines like Google would be able to display public posts on results pages. This new relevance for SEO makes the argument for B2B marketing investment in the platform even stronger.
In addition to getting in front of the growing number of decision makers and influencers using social platforms for search, Instagram indexing changes enables B2B marketers to leverage that content to boost brand visibility.
A few quick tips:
- Create a professional account if you don’t already have one
- Optimise your account bio with relevant keywords
- Optimise static posts, carousels, reels and videos with keywords
- Use hashtags and optimise alt text on images and video captions/screen text
