In this week's newsletter:
- Your Best Sales Content Is Invisible to AI
- Authority as an Appreciating Asset
The more AI Optimisation (AIO) work we do for our clients, the clearer a pattern becomes: organisations winning in this new search landscape are rarely the biggest names in their sector. They’re the ones who understand that visibility and authority now work differently than they did eighteen months ago.
This month, we’re sharing two insights from the frontline of that work: one on why entire sectors are becoming invisible to AI search, and one on why authority should be treated as a compounding business asset, rather than a marketing nice-to-have
Your Best Sales Content Is Invisible to AI
If your business operates in manufacturing, engineering or energy, the material that actually wins deals is probably sitting in a sales rep’s outbox, rather than on the open web: datasheets, integration guides, real pricing. That’s a problem now that buyers are asking ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude the technical questions a sales engineer used to answer. AI engines can only cite what they can read, and gated PDFs don’t count. We look at why this content needs to move from pre-sales collateral to published, crawlable pages, and how to start without giving away more than you need to.
Authority as an Appreciating Asset
Most businesses treat authority as a by-product of good marketing. We treat it as an asset class in its own right: one that grows in value the more consistently it’s built, and one that increasingly determines whether AI platforms cite and recommend you at all. This article looks at what it actually takes to build authority that appreciates over time, rather than a reputation that simply exists.
